Principal Welcome Letter

Dear Future Member of Perkins Academy,

 

We are very excited to have you join the John D. Perkins, Sr. Academy! We have a great small school that captures the spirit of a wonderful local community. Our teachers are strong caring professionals that create meaningful educational experiences and opportunities for all children who enter our building. We offer education for students from PreK through Grade 6. Our multi-grade classrooms are just one unique feature of our school that allows us to diversify learning for your child.

 

If this is your first public school experience, we are honored to have your child join us. If you are moving from another town, we can’t wait for you to experience Perkins Pride and the specialized experiences that we can offer your child.

Children four years of age by September 30, 2020 can enroll for our preschool program. You may register your child with our school secretary during regular school hours. If you are unable to meet during that time, please call the school and arrange for an appointment. We also like to provide tours of our school after hours to allow both parents and children the opportunity to explore the learning environment.

 

The Marlow School District provides full day Preschool and Kindergarten programs. We also offer art, music, physical education, library and technology classes weekly. We have an outdoor classroom and we often use nature as our vehicle for learning.

 

In order to attend Perkins Academy we will need a copy of your child’s immunization record, a copy of your child’s birth certificate, and proof of residency. State law also requires a physical exam before entering school and please notice the immunization requirements. All of these items are referenced in our application packet. Call our office at 446-3307 to receive a copy of the registration packet. 

 

If you have any questions about the registration process, please call us at 446-3307. We will gladly provide any guidance or clarification. Once all documents are completed, please return to the office. We would love to get all the paperwork out of the way in order to begin the Perkins experience as soon as possible.
